Tao Restaurant - New York

The decoration is fantastic but the food is too saltyDessert is delicious and not very sweet, which is exactly my type.

DO NOT GO HERE. For the nightclub, they turned us away at the door because we were asian.

They made us wait 30 minutes for our reservation for four peopleWhich I've heard is on the lower end of waiting times.

A lot of people have highly rated the crispy orange chicken. I found it just OK. It was neither crispy nor orange (except for the color). The chefs roll was very good. The hot and sour soup was thicker than I am used to, but I liked it very much. The soda that I ordered was not what I received. And I think I received some crispy rice triangles that are tasty, but not part of my order. Overall, this is a great restaurant. I have eaten at their sister property in Las Vegas. It's a little pricey, but you have a good meal!

When in Vegas, Tao is one of my favorites so I was excited to see one when in New York last week. Unfortunately, it wasnt great. The Imperial Vegetable Egg Roll were tasteless and not fully cooked on the inside. The Tao Lo Mein tasted of fish (gross) and the Potted Carrot Cake was broken on arrival. The Fried Rice was good. Overall, really poor.
