Shake Shack - New York

I’ve been to Shake Shack a couple of times over the years and it’s been consistently great each time. The restaurant was very clean but not many seats for indoor dining. It was my first time trying the portobello burger and I thought it tasted good- although it didn’t wow me. You can either order at the front counter with an employee or use one of the iPads by the entrance. It didn’t take long for orders to be made as well.

Shake Shack is definitely one of our favorite fast food spots and we love their ‘Shroom Burger so much. We placed an take-out order via their kiosk and all the process went smoothly. We had their ‘Shroom Burger substituted with lettuce wrap with Hot Honey Fries. The food was overall decent, especially the burger, which is the same as other locations but the fries was a little dry.

Always really good even though it usually take a lot of time. Also, I would not recommend the cheesy fries that were not that good but that might just be me not liking that type of cheese.

I had a couple good meals here last week. The burgers were always great, and the fries super tasty. The only issue was the chicken sandwich was a total mess (bad lettuce, too much mayo, tiny chicken). The place gets REAL busy around 8-9pm, but the staff do a good job. They were exceptionally friendly.

According to experts, it is one of the best burgers in NY. Whether that's true or not, they are worth it. However, it is trendy and therefore tends to be packed with people and it's not easy to find a spot. They are fast food burgers, not gourmet. I loved them, but I put them on the same level as Five Guys.
