Rocco Pizza - New York

Absolutely delicious! I’m from out of state and was searching for quality pizza in the area, and this place was perfect. The staff is very friendly; they were great when I called to check on my delivery status. Plus, the delivery was super fast!

I've been visiting Rocco Pizza for years, and I've always had a great experience. The pizza is delicious, and the service is fast!

I would like to share a balanced review of my recent experience. Let's start with the positives: the pizza slices are fantastic, especially the pepperoni wheels and the chicken or sausage rolls. However, I ordered pasta and ran into a couple of issues. First, I asked for spaghetti but received penne instead. They offered to correct it, but since my order was for takeout, I didn't have time to wait. Unfortunately, the penne was overcooked. The sauce was of low quality, and while the meatballs had a nice texture, they lacked flavor. I hope they can concentrate on what they do well and improve on the rest. On a positive note, the service was great as always.

Fast, efficient service--was in and out in under 5. Prices are pretty average. Always love a solid neighborhood pizza spot! The famous grandma slice was not available when I came in. Plain slice: Crust is crisp and flaky on the outside, stretchy on the inside. The cheese and tomato don't stick out flavor-wise...not necessarily a bad thing. It's one of those where all the flavors meld together into one tasty entity. Slightly more herbaceous than the average plain. Well-seasoned. White slice: See above. Mozzarella comes through very rich and savory. Pillows of super sweet, fluffy ricotta float on top, nicely countering the saltiness below. I hit mine with red pepper flakes to wake things up. Delicious! Sicilian: Generous melty stretchy cheese and sauce! Tomato sauce is neutral, neither especially tangy nor sweet. Crust has a beautifully oily crisp outside, and an airy stretchy inside.

I found the pizza and garlic knots to be bland, and the portion sizes were smaller than I expected. Although the food arrived in under 20 minutes, it was at room temperature rather than hot. Additionally, the delivery person left the food on the floor in front of the door and didn't even knock.
