No other restaurant can compare to this one. I noticed a slight improvement in the taste this time, possibly due to a new chef who was exceptional.
The staff at this restaurant are friendly and efficient. The food at Popeyes is typical - spicy, tasty, and leaves you wanting more. While the fries may seem pricey at first glance, the portion size at Popeyes is much larger compared to other chains. My group of five people couldn't finish all the food we ordered, so we ended up taking some extra chicken home. I also noticed that the price of water was very reasonable - the cheapest bottled water in District 1. The food at Popeyes is well-made and reasonably priced, especially considering that water costs $2.00 to $3.50 in nearby shops.
I believe this Popeyes location is the best in the city. The food is good, but what sets this place apart is its cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent air conditioning for those hot NYC days. Customer satisfaction is a priority here, with returning customers being greeted by name. Diners are respectful and clear their tables promptly for others to use. The only thing I wish for is for Popeyes to bring back corn on the cob.
Why do they serve their mac and cheese in small cakes that slide around in the dish? I introduce them in bowls to save time, but that looks like it sits under a heating lamp for days. it is not recognizable.
The new buffalo chicken sandwich is EVERYTHING. I almost regret trying it, because I am confident it will be my primary source of nutrition for the foreseeable future. Luckily the 8th Ave location is close to my home and office... plus offers speedy fast delivery.
