Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse - New York

The wine there is horrible. Not a single wine that does not smell foul. Also, what happened to plain sautéed green vegetables not everything needs cream. Server did not follow up on requests and pretty much did what he wanted to do with respect to my order… it was not that busy for failure to communicate. It had been a while since the last time i was there, and it all came back to me why i stopped going. I am so glad Blue Ribbon opened right across the street.

Honestly SO disappointed. I should have known when they had reservations day of with 2 events at MSG that night. Previous reviews were correct about servers not coming back around. She was nice just didn’t come around and of course when there were issues. The maple bacon app was good and so were the fries! That was about it. We live in the middle of nowhere where NJ and get better steaks in Easton PA and Baking Ridge NJ than this NYC place. We had high expectations because we know good steak. Ours was undercooked and even the server said it was when she finally came back. The brussel sprouts were also really hard and not cooked through. Definitely won’t be back. Maybe it’s a tourist trap and we didn’t know? But for the price disappointing. Wish we just ate inside MSG.

Great dinner before a concert at MSG. Generous portions of calamari, branzino, and tuna. Everything very tasty. Excellent service from Jerry.
