The New York theme is really fun, especially the large Statue of Liberty table featuring an animated swimming martini glass that floats against the ceiling. Definitely a must-see!
Awful experience. It took 30 minutes for us to get our drinks. When they finally arrived, our 15-year-old daughter was accidentally served alcohol in her strawberry lemonade. Our appetizers didn’t arrive until 30 minutes after our drinks, making it an hour to get our main meals. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet we had to keep asking for our server. The food was terrible - the hot shrimp were cold, and the burgers were unappetizing. We were staying at the hotel and hoped for a quick meal, but it was a major letdown. I would recommend skipping this place and finding somewhere else to eat.
We had a fantastic breakfast! My husband ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and loved every bite. Our server, Douglas, was exceptional! He made our dining experience delightful by explaining the menu, ensuring we always had enough coffee, and attending to all our needs. His friendly personality made a real difference, and he even shared some great suggestions for things to see in the city during our visit. We definitely plan to return. We also had a lovely table by the window, which allowed us to enjoy the view of the city while we ate.
Came here with some friends a bit ago for dinner. I'm a big fan of the Margaritaville chain. Been to the Las Vegas and Atlantic City locations and have always enjoyed myself so I was looking forward to having a dining experience here so close to home. The location is not my favorite. Although it is easily accessible by multiple train lines, the nightmare of the Times Square crowds doesn't help when trying to navigate around here. Came on a Saturday evening but we didn't need reservations. I met my friends outside and we went in and headed up the escalator to be seated. There are a lot of interesting spots where you can sit. They have tables for 4+ people fashioned as little huts. You can sit inside of a Statue of Liberty head. Floor-to-ceiling windows so if you sit by them, you'll have some great views. There were only 3 in our party so they just sat us at a boring table that had 1 funky leg that made the table woble constantly. Sevice was scatterbrained so we did wait every so often. I don't recall what mixed drink I had but it was pretty good. One of the more inexpensive drinks off the menu. We started with with wing appetizer. They were fine. Were they $18 for 6 wings fine?? HECK no. That's a bit outrageous for me. I had the Cajun Shrimp Grits for my entree. Had a good amount of big shrimp and wasn't overly cheesy. The Andouille sausage gravy that covered it was yummy. As most Margaritaville foods go, it was very tasty. Again, expensive. Like, outrageously priced. I get it, it's in Times Square and a tourist trap but damn. Of course, I had to end my meal off with the usual Key Lime Pie which was as good as ever. The bathrooms are really strange. Cramped and filthy with the garbage bins overflowing. To me, the WORST thing about this place is woman that they have hanging around by the hostess stand selling timeshares! When I go out to eat, one of the things I DON"T want happening is having someone harass me regarding land/sea timeshares. Get the hell out of here with that ****. I possibly would come back but with that nonsense and the price points, I'll probably steer clear of this place!
We ate here in a trip to NYC and decided it was so good we had to come again. And the food was really good this time as well. But service wasn't as good. We had to ask for water multiple times and when we were leaving, we were handed a device to pay for our bill. No paper copy and no explanation of how to use it. The menu said they charge a service fee for 8 or more and we were only 7. But we found a service charge already on the bill. And the device asks you to add gratuity. Very sneaky. And then once you figure out how to use your card to pay, it has no way to print a receipt. The option is grayed out. So I tried to add my email to get a receipt that way and it wouldn't work. I called the waiter over and showed him it didn't work. He couldn't get it to work either and couldn't print me a receipt. He played with it and told me it finally worked but alas, I have never received the receipt. Who knows who he sent it to but it wasn't to my email. It all made me very uncomfortable!! Will go again because the food was good but cash only!!
