The stew is a bit salty, but it's perfect when paired with rice, and the side dishes have a mild flavor that balances well. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are reasonable. I stumbled upon this place while wandering around the Soho area when I was feeling a bit sluggish, and it felt like a slice of heaven. I will definitely visit again when I'm in New York!
This is such a peaceful spot for lunch that I've been wanting to visit for a while, and the food was absolutely incredible! Everything we tried was amazing. I highly recommend the rice egg dish.
This might just be the best Korean restaurant in the East Village. The food is incredibly authentic, especially for someone who has sampled various Korean places in different cities. The banchan is fresh and tasty, and the kimchi jjigae was packed with flavor—I even ordered an extra bowl of rice to enjoy with it. The pineapple soju was fantastic as well. I highly recommend arriving before 8 PM.
The fried vegetables were either frozen on the inside or overcooked, making the seaweed tough. The chicken soup had an unpleasant odor and didn’t taste fresh.
The scotch egg was quite disappointing. The filling consisted of a meat patty that was fried with a boiled egg inside. While it was sizable and filling, it lacked flavor and only came alive with the spicy mayo sauce. Though it had a creative presentation, the taste was rather ordinary.
