Ihop - New York

IHOP was seating when we arrive and there was no wait. Our server was incredibly attentive without that overbearingness. The pancakes and coffee were much needed. We very satisfied and thankful that they were seating and knowing how most are struggling during this time we tried to tip our waitress accordingly. Its the small things these days and IHOP did its best to give us a bit of that familiar warm pancake feeling. Feel safe eating in here!

During a heat wave, the lack of air conditioning made the restaurant uncomfortable. As I sipped my coffee, I felt increasingly hot and wished they would at least have a fan. The temperatures inside were constantly around 98 degrees, and I felt sorry for the staff working in those conditions, especially with COVID-19 concerns. The lack of air circulation in the building was concerning. The food was decent, and the waitress was okay.

The food was not very good. It was nothing like what you would find on 126th Street and Lexington Avenue. The service was efficient, but there were only two servers for all the tables. The food took a long time to come out, and there was no air conditioning or ventilation, which was uncomfortable in the warm weather. My children were not happy with the experience. I would recommend finding another place to eat, one with better ventilation or more staff.

My experience at IHOP was the worst I have ever had. Originally, I went to the location on 125th Street only to find it closed. I then went to the one on 135th Street. The waitress was incredibly rude, perhaps having a hard day, but the service was terrible. She seemed impatient when taking our order, and it took a long time for the food to arrive. She slammed the water glass on the table and never checked on us. I was given the wrong receipt and noticed that several tables needed cleaning, causing a delay for other customers. When I left, there was a line of people waiting for tables, showing a decline in the restaurant's service from my previous visit years ago. I would not recommend this location.

The restaurant review can be rewritten as: The restaurant has only three employees and they work at a slow pace. Some customers left due to the slow service, and there was a line for takeout orders. Despite the slow service, the food was freshly cooked.
