Hot Jalapeno Rest. - New York

Found this place on 116th Street in Harlem. Service was slow, however the food was excellent. I ordered a frozen mango margarita, it soo delicious, fresh with the right amount of liquor. The guacamole and chips were tasty, hands one of the best guacamole I've had in a restaurant. It was taco Tuesday, three tacos for $10.95, you can beat that. I had the pork tacos with pineapple, they were delicious with great seasoning. Only problem, was service was slow with 1 waitress. Definitely worth trying again.

I visited this restaurant for Izzy's 1st birthday party and it was such a charming place with friendly staff. Walking in, you really feel transported to Mexico. I had a passion fruit mojito, which was fantastic! I regrettably forgot to take pictures, but I must say, the tacos were among the best I've ever had. The authenticity of the food is top-notch—10 out of 10! The grilled whole onions were incredibly delicious; I could have eaten a whole plate by myself. Even though I was there for a party, I am definitely planning to return to try some of their other dishes.

Updated Review! Came back for brunch this time and was pleasantly surprised! Food has gotten A LOT better flavor wise. I had the steak tacos and burritos along with a mimosa and soda. I'm always happy when a place improves based off reviews! Will go back. Oh! Outside patio is now open too!

Came with a cousin and husband for dinner. The food was good. The place was very busy, but we had enough attention. Owner came out to say hi and gave a shot of tequila. The mariachi hype up the night. It was a very nice time spent there!

What a fun atmosphere and fantastic restaurant! We enjoyed their happy hour until 7 p.m. on Friday. I had the Negro Modelo draft for $8 (24 oz.) and a Tamarindo Margarita, also $8. The draft was a bit flat, while the margarita was refreshing but could have had a stronger kick. The tacos de lengua and al Pastor were both excellent! The lengua had a wonderful savory char that made it incredibly tasty, and the accompanying salsas packed just the right amount of heat. To top off our evening, the service was outstanding and the live music was a delightful addition. This is a great local spot to support and truly feel a part of the community.
