I’ve been to this coffee shop about 4-5 times and every single time my order has been wrong. Today I asked for an iced americano. At first I was given a hot americano. Then I said I had asked for a cold americano. It was mixed with faucet water not filtered. I could clearly see there no filter. They kid working the counter said the filter was in the wall. You could clearly see it wasn’t. I paid 5.15 for brown water literally. I couldn’t drink it. The kid at the counter had a bad attitude. My experience at this coffee shop had been horrible. I will not give this shop another try. It’s horrible all the way around.

Employee gave me the back off for staying for four hours on my second visit. I was working on my laptop. Half the tables were empty. No receipt, but they knew how long I 'd been there? Creeps

Everything about the employees here is horrendous. Avoid The Bean like The Plague.When I asked for a paper bag to put my garbage in, I was pointed to the garbage can. Napkins are the cheapest you can get.

Best smoothies! Why? Full of organic veggies and fruit (your choice) not filled with ice. Now I know where I can get a very nutritious, filling, delicious liquid meal and avoid brain freeze. Served by very kind, caring staff too real good, hard working people.Open until 9 PM unlike mostly any other place that offers organic smoothies.

The best coffee/smoothie/bowl shop in the East Village! The Bean does it all great coffee and food, excellent atmosphere to work, study, meet friends and even take meetings. Across all of The Bean's locations, you feel like you're in a familiar and comfortable place. Everyone who works here is very kind and helpful. Can't wait to keep visiting The Bean!
