I am excited to have a great time at this restaurant. I am particular about where my fish comes from when I order sushi, so knowing it is fresh and not contaminated is important to me. I am also looking forward to trying the steamed crabs. I can't wait to visit and wish the restaurant good luck.
What a great experience! we came with a group of 8 people for a team event and did the fish for your food option. we caught two lobsters, 1 lachs and 1 trout. we made sure to place orders for appetizers before we go fishing, which was perfect because after fishing our appetizers were ready. our waitress was very helpful and attentive. she explained all the options for fish preparation. they also had a good choice. overall, highly recommended and a great group activity or unique date option!
More interesting place for a very Japanese experience. this is the first time that I have ever caught my dinner with my own hand, and the personal is helpful to pass it through. even the festive embodies the shadow of the Japanese fishing culture. eating is authentic from appetizer to dessert. I love especially the go tofu that I missed for a long time when I visited tokio before. fish are healthy and fresh, kept in separate tanks. all edible parts of the fish that they have caught can be used in full scope, and all unnecessary parts will be removed naturally. even the dessert wears the taste japans. price perhaps on the high side for some, but I think the experience is worth it, especially if they want to get a hauch on Japanese culture.
For this year's birthday dinner brought me bf in zauo fishing restaurant. we had no chance to go when we went to to tokio in the year, so it was nice to try out the NYC site. we had a reservation for a Thursday night. it was quite empty, but the restaurant is also quite huge 2 floors. they give them a menu with the pricing different types of fishing have different prices, the sizes are simply big or small, not after weight, and they have the opportunity to fish it themselves or the personal do it for them the last option is more expensive. Of course, we decided to fish ourselves because this is the whole point of this restaurant experience. we decided to go with a large rainbow trout and a small lobster. first they give you plastic ponchos to protect your clothes. then they give you a fishing rod with a bait. the rule is that they can't catch and release, so if they caught one they didn't like, too bad. It's yours. it was actually quite difficult to catch a fish we wanted. the small and the big fish are in the same tank, so the smaller ones are always the first to go for the bait as they are more agile. we all tried about ten minutes that the staff was super patient until the hired person finally pointed us to the one we wanted and they caught it with a net. because the lobster tank is in the second floor, they give them a long plastic glove and they simply reach in and grab the lobster head. If they don't want to catch their own fish can get quite expensive, they have a lot of other options. I would come back and try her sushi. next they decide how to cook their seafood. for the fish, they are in the position to do a mix and match, so they can cook several possibilities it tempura, grilled, shimmered in soy sauce, tataki . obviously, due to the NYC food laws, they cannot serve sashimi from a freshly caught fish to me makes no sense. it is best to ask them how they recommend to cook the catch as any type of fish is different. when we waited for them to cook our catches of the day, we ordered a few apps lachs sashimi, fat thunfisch sashimi and truffle lachs sashimi had actually truffled it. all were great, but my favorite was the bold tone that melts in the mouth. the suppe came out next, which was a nice way to wash all the sashimi. for an additional $3 they can use the bones for a false broth, so we did this both the lobster and the fish came out at the same time. we did tataki easily thought for the first half and tempo for the second half. for the lobster we went with the classic, and then the head with cheese also had extra baked, but so worth it. we both really enjoyed. the fishtempura came with a kind of erdnuss? diving sauce that seemed like a strange pairing, but it wasn't bad. the garlic sauce? that came with the tataki was amazing. we even began to plunge in the lobster. after that they brought out the baked lobster head. it's a little creepy to eat, but it's worth making their hands dirty. to finish everything, we had the matcha tiramisu. I really liked it because it wasn't too sweet and there was a huge matcha aroma. they also brought a mango mousse cake and an egg as a birthday contract. the service was great from beginning to end. everyone was super helpful and seemed happy that I celebrated my birthday there. now I want to try it in tokio!
