Carnegie Diner Cafe - New York

Great breakfast place (have not tried other times of day), frequented by neighborhood folks. Kitchen is very efficient. Lots of great options, nicely prepared. The number of dishes that come with a salad at breakfast seems odd to me, but plenty of people seem to love it. Reservations mandatory on weekends, helpful during the week. Go here whenever in NYC.

My friends and I had just arrived in town and had been told it was great (and just around the corner from our hotel). The staff was wonderful, the ambience was totally NYC and the food was outrageously good. Best Reuben sandwich ever the corned beef was like butter! We all loved our meals and our experience.
