Bodega Negra At Dream Downtown

This was my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. I loved the ambiance and decor, and the customer service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious! My favorite dish was the lobster fajitas. Unfortunately, they are now closed, but I'm hoping they will reopen soon.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The food was excellent, and the lively atmosphere made for a fantastic birthday celebration with friends. The dishes lived up to their great reviews, and everything was beautifully presented. I did find some items on the menu a bit pricey, particularly the pitchers of sangria and the cost per glass. However, that's typical for restaurants in downtown areas. Although the portion sizes may seem small, they are surprisingly filling. I definitely plan to return for more tacos, especially the steak tacos, which were my favorite—so flavorful and delicious! Overall, it was a great experience.

Short review: Highly recommended—absolutely no regrets! This place has so much to offer. I visited during restaurant week and started off with a happy hour margarita at the bar, which was surprisingly good for the price. Once I was seated, the atmosphere really drew me in with its dim lights and barrels lining the walls. But the true highlight was the food. As someone from a Latino background, I can say the dishes were nearly perfect. The authentic Mexican blue corn flautas and queso fundido with chorizo were fantastic, but the chicken tacos took the top prize. For dessert, the tres leches cake was a showstopper with a beautiful presentation. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. Trust me, you won't regret spending a wonderful evening here—it has a vibrant club-like atmosphere!

Had a really great time here. Friday night music was fantastic and our waiter was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a nut allergy in the group and he was great about mentioning what should be avoided or put on the side. We never felt rushed and thefood and drinks were all delicious. We had the chicken chorizo fajita (meat was so tender), chicken tacos (tasty, but toosmall for the price), yuca fries (for a side this was a large portion), sweet plantains (hit the sweet spot). We also had thewhite dome lava cake dessert.

Oh my god every bit of food that entered my mouth made it water even more. Portions were great, taste and texture well balanced, and presentation was clean. Our servers were extremely attentive, asked about our allergies, and pointed out when dishes eithercontained a food that one of us could not eat or had it on the side. They paid even more attention to where they placed thedishes so as to not have a ton of meat in front of the vegetarians and peanuts in front of me. Everything came out in perfecttiming. I enjoyed the dark, grungy ambiance as well. Will definitely be back!
