Bobby Van's Grill Times Square

We made a 4:45 reservation for a pre-show meal, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Our waiter was outstanding, providing some of the most efficient and quick service we've ever experienced. The gnocchi was simply the best I’ve ever tasted. The lamb with mint jelly was superb, and the steaks, along with the accompanying sauce, were extraordinary. That sauce—it's something special; you'll definitely want to ask for a bottle to take home, as it really enhances the flavor of the meat. Overall, we had an incredible dinner, and the desserts and drinks were delightful too. They were attentive to our schedule, ensuring everyone was seated and served promptly without making anyone feel rushed. The service was exceptionally friendly; I wish I had caught our waiter’s name, but everyone we interacted with was fantastic. I truly believe this restaurant is a must-visit in the city.

I had an absolutely terrible experience! When it was time to pay, the waiter brought the card reader and I paid using Apple Pay. Without my consent, the waiter quickly entered a tip amount on my behalf. I was furious and insisted he go back and issue a refund for the tip, as it's not legal to approve a payment for someone else. He returned with the receipt showing a tip of $0, but my credit card was still charged a 24% tip. I've already filed a claim with my credit card company since I have proof of this incident. It seems like the waiter assumed we were tourists because of the area we were in. Overall, it was a horrible experience! I highly recommend staying away from this place!

I came across some fantastic reviews and decided to check it out with my girlfriend. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, we were disappointed by a server who resembled a turtle and made my girlfriend uncomfortable. His behavior seemed to suggest he was looking for more than just serving our food and drinks, which ultimately made us feel the need to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place unless that bald server is no longer employed. The only reason I left an average tip was due to the hardworking efforts of the rest of the staff.

Came here for a drink and ended up seeing the steaks being delivered to other tables and my boyfriend and I both agreed we had to have one and we are so glad we did!! We've been to some of the best steakhouses around and Bobby Van's is now our favorite!The Sirloin was seasoned to perfection and melted in my mouth! The ambiance was lovely as well, I really enjoyed sitting at thebar and facing the window to enjoy the NYC scenery and people watching of course. The bartender Tez took great care of us andmakes a fine **** Mary. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Josh, as well and he made us feel extremely welcome andappreciated. I'm a fan for life and will definitely be back on our future NYC trips!

Had an amazing experience. Travel a ton for work. Have been blessed enough to eat at the best steakhouses in the world. I have a passion for steak! The absolute best tasting steak I have ever had was here at Bobby?s! Amazing what a flavor the dry agedsteak was!! Normally I?m a baked potato guy. Had the home made French fries recommended to me.
