Aquavit - New York

Firstly, the service was impeccable. our waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. the non alcoholic pairing was very interesting, given i’ve never had one before. i enjoyed all the drinks thoroughly, which unfortunately is more than i can say for the food. the first courses had taste combinations i found very odd and not always the best. additionally i found it hard to balance each bite, given many times there was a large clump of sauce placed somewhere separate from the main dish area. the duck and cod were very good though. the dessert again had the balance issue with lots of little separate components you had to mix and eat as you liked, resulting in unbalanced flavor profiles.

Great experience! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. They were also willing to accommodate their tasting menu as my friend is allergic to shellfish so definitely a plus!

Am incredible birthday surprise! I had no idea about dinner and yes, I was pleasantly surprised! The plating, presentation, taste, elegance and above all the amazing personalities running around taking care of us. James and River were incredible and they were professionally fun to be around all night. We had the 5 course tasting menu and we have a few allergies they had to work around. I will say, if your allergies are severe you should really make that clear!!! There are a variety of wines of all prices and from around the world. They have a homemade aquavit that you can take a flight! You can make an advance reservation If you have a chase reserve card!

What an outstanding restaurant! I've eaten at Aquavit a couple of times over years and don't remember the experience being nearly this good. Until today, it had been at least 7 or 8 years since I've been back. The food available on the lunch pre-fix menu was absolutely fantastic, the service amazing. What a lovely overall experience, I will be back much sooner than last the last visit!

Amazing restaurant. Top notch food and service; delicious food. Definitely exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend trying the chef's tasting menu. It took about 4 hours to finish the whole menu.It’s a nice restaurant
