Mayse Artisan Bakery - New Territories

To my knowledge, this was the only bakery in Hong Kong that exclusively sold vegan bread (before Alive Food Co. was established in 2020). I really loved the bread there. Review last updated on August 27, 2020.

The pizza was incredibly tasty, though the crust was a bit chewy. I would definitely return. They also have great kombucha. I highly recommend this place if you happen to be in the area.

Her brot is delicious, fills, healthy and all vegan. actually it is so good that I really don't like a normal brot now. Alex and Eli, the owners, are always happy to talk about their products and processes and are generally wonderful people. they perform events such as pizza pop-ups and Brotherstellungs workshops. the opposite is picturesque and worth a visit. I will miss this bakery when I leave hongkong!

I dined at this restaurant last month and really enjoyed the bread. The waiter who served us was very personable. It is not entirely vegan (or at least it wasn't at that time) because the brand of sweet spread they use is not vegan (it clearly states on the package that it may contain traces of milk). I have emailed them to suggest using a vegan brand instead. I hope they make the change as it would be great to have this place listed as a vegan restaurant in Hong Kong.

Everything is baked fresh starting from bread and muffijs and cupcakes. Bakery doesn’t use instant yeast or bleached flower. All is organic and vegan.
