We had generous pours of wine accompanying a terrific tender gnocchi's and calamari appetizers, both served with very, bright, fresh and flavorful marinaras. Both were very generous, in addition to very well prepared. The initial baked bread pieces for the table was a little too underdone for my taste but was served twice; the second time was a nice tender sliced loaf style that was better. Opening house salads were really good as well. Then the main dishes were a bit delayed in getting out to us, but our waitress was excellent; in touch with us and keeping our wine and service going nicely though out the evening. She really helped make this evening fun and did a great job. The main meals were all really good, Veal Picata, Chicken Saltimbocca, and Pappardelle Alfredo were all very generous (enough to take home after the large appetizers). We all loved the tiramisu for desert. All in all, for such a casual place, the Italian food held up to the Yelp reputation that drew us to this place. If you're in New Smyrna Beach, I can recommend this place.
Ordered the chicken piccata after seeing a picture of it posted on Google. I ordered takeout, brought it back to my hotel, opened a bottle of wine and then opened the container of chicken. Words can even describe how disappointed and shocked I was at how it looked and tasted. There was absolutely no breading on the chicken breast. The lemon wine sauce was so tart and it was very watery. It was as if the chicken was steamed in lemon water. I am posting a picture of my entree AND posting a pic from the Google review. I have no idea why they didn't bread the chicken like they did in the Google review one. It was so bad.
Sat at the bar. The music was so loud that I could not hear my companion speaking. I'm not heard of hearing. Out came fresh bread with oil, vinegar, and herb dipping sauce. It was great! Ordered a pizza with extra cheese, garlic, and basil. The pizza was not cut all the way through. I had to ask for a knife to cut it myself (they gave me a butter knife) and I burned my hand on the pan while holding it to cut the pizza. While I was cutting it, the owner kept watching me and didn't offer any assistance. No staff walked by. My companion had to walk around the restaurant to find parmesan cheese. After two greasy bites of my hard earned labored prize, I gave up. I will not be back.
Marlee was amazing and the food was very good She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect It's nice to think good old fashion Customer Service was first and foremost I'll be back
Went to a friends beach condo for the night and we decided to try this out for dinner! We walked in and it's pretty small inside and all the tables were full. We figured it might be a long wait, but when the guy came over to ask us how many, we said 6 and he said it would be about 15 minutes! Ok, cool! They have a small bar, we got 2 beers for the men and we got Reisling wine. Wow, do they give you a huge glass of wine! 4 drinks was $23,not bad! We waited about 10 minutes and they seated us. They brought hot bread that was sooo yummy with a balsamic/oil dip, to die for! I ordered Lasagna, my hubby got fettuccine Alfredo and my son got it too but added chicken. My food was excellent! Hubby and son said theirs was just ok. Others in the party got Chicken Parmesan and they said it was great! Maybe their white sauce was off??? Cute, little intimate place, will definitely go back!
