Mannions - New ross

A group of 14 adults and 6 kids, we were really well looked after by the staff and brilliant food.

Good food, Terrible service. Ate here with my family last night. Table was booked for 7pm, yet we weren't seated until 7:30pm. Half-hearted, borderline insincere apology given by owner. No courtesy call to say they were running behind. Food itself was lovely, I got the haddock which came in a lovely panko crumb. It was served with lovely chips and came with a nice side salad. Others got burgers, soup, and curries and were likewise impressed. Again, poor service during the meal, plates left hanging on the tables and a general lack of attentiveness and hospitality. Mid-meal our drinks order went astray/came back wrong. Overall we had an OK experience. Food was lovely, but it was let down by general lack of courtesy and poor service.

Mannion's Restaurant in New Ross consistently delivers a culinary experience of exquisite quality. Having dined here frequently, I've always relished their delectable offerings. On a recent visit, my fillet was slightly chewy, prompting me to share my feedback with the gracious waitress. To my astonishment, she responded with utmost professionalism and courtesy, offering complimentary desserts, tea, and coffee as a gesture of goodwill. To cap off this exceptional display of service, my entire meal was unexpectedly gifted in apology. Mannion's impeccable response raises the bar for even the most prestigious establishments, truly setting them apart as a five-star gem in the realm of gastronomy.

We booked Mannions on a Saturday evening for a family celebration and nothing was too much trouble. The booking went from 9 to 12 people without notice and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. I’ve heard good reviews about Mannions but we were all beyond impressed. My family regularly travel down from Waterford to eat here. Looking forward to our next visit when I’m back in Ireland.

Visiting New Ross whilst on holiday and Mannions lived up to the recommendation made by a friend who lives locally. We ordered 3 different main courses and 3 desserts and all were well presented and very tasty. The service was friendly and prompt.
