Plus, it was conveniently located near our accommodation. If you’re staying in New Plymouth, this place is a must-visit—you won’t be disappointed. A big shoutout to the staff for making our experience even better!
Without a doubt, this is the best pub in New Plymouth (sorry Kev, but it's true - just accept it). They serve Guinness on tap, and I can't forget to mention that they have the best chips in town! There's also a cozy fire to gather around during the 10 months of the year when the weather isn't great. On nice days, my little boy and I enjoy sitting in the sun at the outdoor tables. He's busy watching the cars pass by while I'm pondering over mats that might work for Thursday, letting them down gently all while enjoying my pint. The Guinness is delicious, and those chips are unbeatable. Honestly, what more could you ask for from a pub?
I absolutely loved the atmosphere! It wasn't crowded, but it had a nice buzz. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was simply fantastic!
I always visit Peggy's when I'm in town. It's a fantastic pub with good food and a great selection of drinks. The quiz night was also a lot of fun!
This is a spacious pub with a great atmosphere. They have an extensive selection of beers, and the staff is very friendly. We ordered a small fries to share between two, and it was definitely enough! We also tried the beef and Guinness pie, as well as the Sunday pork roast. The pie had a perfectly flaky crust and the filling was delicious—moist and packed with flavor! However, the gravy for the roast was a bit too salty for my taste, but the portion size was very generous!
