The Original French Market and Bar

Service was lacking. Only one stall for women’s restroom for two floors of restaurant. We were seated promptly when they opened at 11:00. Highlight was the chargrilled oysters, although we ordered a dozen, and there were only 11 on the plate. When we brought this to our servers attention, Gerard, he asked if we wanted a cup of gumbo instead. One of our drink orders was a ketle one double **** Mary. When I asked the bartender if they had ketle one, I was told they were out. We were charged for the ketle one and the double. Check your receipts and count your oysters.

The food was good and the portions generous. The only down side was the upstairs hostess. She was rude and sent us back downstairs although we had reservations. I would recommend the restaurant but the hostess and wait staff were a bit iffy.

Great restaurant and loved the atmosphere. we stopped and sat outside on the balcony. our waiter was miles and we enjoyed our visit. we ordered rubber bears, welsplatte, carbonated oysters, seafood plate and 2 children popcorn garnel. the food came hot and tasty. the portions were huge. we will definitely come back.
