Schiro's Super Food Store - New Orleans

My husband and I had a delicious meal here. We had the cheese plate, bel puri, crab soup, english salad, chicken tikka masala, mango cheesecake. Everything was very good and the portions were decent. Not the cheapest place but worth it!

Omg...this place is a hidden gem!The boneless beef ribs with the jasmine rice makes your taste buds dance. The Brussels sprouts are delicious. The cheesecake is one of the best I have ever had! The service is on point as well!

Wow, what can I say? Grace and Sonja what a pair, dynamic duo, chip n dale, peas and carrots! Food was great, drinks too, but they were the stars of the show. Had a lot of fun, Let my hair down and just allowed a wonderful experience take over my mind, and palate. Had some fun music playing, I played the knee slaps as usual because, well let's just say you wouldn't want me singing along aha!! But yeah I ate the sesame crusted salmon, BOMB, it Friggin slapped on not on your knees but your tongue son! Grace and Sonja made me delicious scrumdiddly umptious cocktails. Hell yeah. Hell. Yeah. Place looks swanky but the prices are not! Very reasonable, much more so than 9th grade history teacher that used to put my desk in the hall because I would show up 1 FREAKING MINUTE LATE TO CLASS, because I had lunch before that and it was on the first floor all the way at the other side of the huge three story building. Jeez, Ms.Dunphy get a clue. Whack. But you know what's not whack? Silkroad! Here's to you Silkroad and here's to you Grace and Sonja y'all were fun and attentive, overall knee slapping good time.

It's a new business in a long-loved place, which can be a recipe for disaster when the new operation doesn't level up with the old memories, but no worries here. Grace has knocked it out of the park, and the locals love her for it... and we do, too!

To start off the restaurant is has a old feel to it and a little market inside. Our waitress was lovely and helped us out perfectly. We ordered the samosas, braised beef short ribs, lamb palak, and southern Indian curry. And all of them were definitely delicious!!! Every item and a rich flavor and a little sweet hint to it. I particularly ordered the braised beef short ribs and it was so tender! There was no bone so perfect and it had a hoisin glaze which I loved. The curry along with the lamb weren't too spicy which was great. The samosas also were hearty and delicious! 10/10 would come back again!
