Rib Room - New Orleans

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It’s located in the stunning Omni Hotel. I made a reservation just a few hours ago through OpenTable. I began my meal with a Hurricane cocktail, which was incredibly strong. For my appetizer, I enjoyed the house salad, which was delightful, and the main course was a ribeye that was likely the best I’ve ever had. The price was definitely on the higher side, but it was worth every penny.

I had a lovely dinner on Halloween night. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the portions were generous. I tried the spectacular, slowly roasted bone-in short rib, which sadly is no longer on the menu. Our server explained that they discontinued it during the pandemic and haven't brought it back since. Instead, I opted for the filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, and it was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend it. However, if the short rib ever returns, it will definitely be my go-to. While there are many excellent steakhouses where I can enjoy a perfectly cooked filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, the short rib here is truly something special. It brings back memories from 2017!

We indulged in a fantastic meal for our last dinner of the holiday! Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the prime rib and the bottle of wine. The staff was incredibly helpful!

What a GREAT dinner! it was my friend birthday and we decided on the rib room. I'm a native and we've already eaten there, the birthday boy was from the city. when we arrived there we got a table in the window (I have never sat in the window, but all the tables are good, it is such a nice room.) the waiter of judgeenel, was friendly, helpful, informatiw and fantastic! he knew eating well and helped us make decisions. after dinner he brought us to the wine bars, so we could see the special things that only the old hotels in the French quarter have to offer. also here I am a native, and in new orleans we have many excellent restaurants, but the Rib room was the best! all the people working there have done their best to make everyone happy and enjoy the special night.

Pleasantly surprised. Prime rib and mashed potatoes were great. I was seated quickly for dinner despite not having a reservation. Hostess and waitress were very pleasant. Worth coming back.
