To top it off, we visited during their late happy hour (until 7 PM), and the whiskey drinks were exceptionally cheap. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. All in all, we had a fantastic meal in a wonderful atmosphere at great prices, with enough leftovers for the next day. We were surprised that more people weren't there enjoying this hidden gem. I truly wish my hometown had a spot like this. Please consider supporting this place during these challenging times!

We were quite disappointed with the rest of the food. For instance, we ordered the crab dip, which tasted like it came straight from a plastic container—it was really underwhelming. My fiancé chose a chicken salad, and for the first time ever, she could only manage a single bite. It seemed excessively drenched in vinegar, making it taste quite off. I had the pulled pork po' boy, and I was equally disheartened; for the first time, I couldn't take more than one bite due to its overwhelming spiciness and that same unpleasant vinegar flavor. Overall, it was a disappointing culinary experience, leaving us feeling like we wasted $60. I don’t want to speak poorly of the restaurant, but the food simply didn't meet our expectations. It would be helpful if the menu provided more details about the dishes, as what we received was far from what we anticipated.

This restaurant is a fantastic find on the lovely Magazine Street. The service was exceptional, and everyone in my group loved their meals, with the exception of the coleslaw. The hot chicken thigh sandwich was superb. The mojito during happy hour is the perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer day.

I usually don’t review restaurants but something drove me and my partner to both review this place and it’s this AMAZING food. We ordered the picnic basket of 8 pieces of hot fried chicken thighs with 2 sides and 4 biscuits “for 2” and it was both delicious and MORE THAN generous in portions. The first bite of that freshly oven baked biscuit was like fireworks. On top of that, we came during their very late happy hour window (until 7pm) and whiskey drinks were ridiculously cheap PLUS friendliest waiters. All in all, a great meal in a great environment at great prices with leftovers for next day. My partner and I were surprised that not more people were inside enjoying this gem of a place. I really wish my hometown had a place like this. Please support this place during this hard time!

Service was excellent! The boudin egg rolls were great and so was the fish dip. My chicken sandwich had a nice presentation, however the meat was dry and tough. Based on the other food being great, I'll assume it was a one-off. We'll return again if we're in the area. Outdoor and indoor eating area and a relaxed environment.
