Mister Gregory's Cafe - New Orleans

That's a great experience! We took our 11 and 9 years old, and it was so nice to meet Chef Gregory and learn how he cooks and where his food comes!

Simply Amazing. Every sandwich on the menu was under $8 bucks making this by far the best deal in the entire touristy french quarter. Authentic french street food in the 'French ' quarter. I thought I would never see the day. I love po boys but get sick of the gross po boy bread. But, at this place the bread is real french baguette. I had a fantastic turkey and havarti sandwich. I also tried a hot sandwich. The hot sandwich was juicy chicken breast, bacon, goat cheese and chopped sage. It was the best sandwich I have ever had. Covered in white sauce and melted cheese. Just like being in Paris. I love this cafe. The day I was there it was totally packed but it only took a few minutes to get our food. The staff were super friendly almost too friendly for New Orleans where most sandwich shop staff kinda growl at you. The room is also gorgeous. Not sure which interior design firm created this, there are colorful tables and chairs and vintage french posters and old bicycles hanging from the ceiling. Super cute like a place in a magazine. This is a must visit cafe.

We got a chance to meet and talk to Mr. Gregory during our tour. We called him Mr G. This is a warm ,nice, and knowledgeable man who is the heart of New Orleans. His food was fantastic ,the conversation was fantastic. I 100% think that everyone who visits New Orleans and the French Quarter should stop at Mr Gregory's

Super nice guy that worked there. I ordered an avocado toast because there is a limited menu. I wasn't too thrilled when it was placed in front of me. That is until I took the first bite. OMG! It had so much flavor and was one of the best things I've ever tasted! I was there to have breakfast before I caught a walking tour. We were offered a free refill of coffee before we left. I thought that was so nice!

Do NOT miss this!! The Boil is incredible! Fresh and delicious. Mister Gregory himself includes you in the entire process, explaining where the critters come from and how we help them by eating them (totally worked for me)! The food is delicious and the host lovable!! Worth every penny and all the memory!
