Ihop - New Orleans

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the poor service from the waitress. She only approached our table twice—once to take our order and again to present the bill—without even introducing herself. It seems like the owner or management doesn’t care about customer experience. I’m writing this review to inform others about what to expect. I received a cup that was dirty on the outside, and the bathroom was in poor condition, with stains all over the sink. The staff appeared to be quite lazy. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. I’m surprised this place is still in business. Proceed with caution if you choose to eat here.

The parking lot is also a major issue. It’s not clearly marked for IHOP customers, and the unkempt grass and bushes made the place feel even less inviting. Overall, it’s an acceptable choice if you’re in a pinch, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you have other options.

The sign says the restaurant is open 24 hours, but tonight—on a Saturday, no less—it was closed, even though the door was unlocked. I had to stop by because I had a flat tire, and with a long wait for AAA, I was planning to eat inside. However, when I walked in around 12:50 a.m., an employee across the room simply told me it was closed. While I waited for AAA, several other customers arrived, only to be turned away. Eventually, about an hour later, they locked the door. What’s going on with that? I work for a band that plays at Rock N Bowl, which closes at midnight. IHOP is our go-to spot for late-night dining, as it's conveniently located near Rock N Bowl, but we keep hearing that it's never open when we need it! That's not great for business, in my opinion.
