Gris-gris - New Orleans

I can’t recommend this place highly enough! First of all, the staff here is incredibly kind and accommodating—big thanks to our hostess and server for making us feel like family! Secondly, the food is exceptional—everything we ordered was delicious, so you really can’t go wrong. They also serve fantastic cocktails, and the atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming. We can’t wait to return the next time we’re in the city, and every time after that!

We arrived a little early for our reservation, but it wasn’t an issue—they seated us on the balcony right away. The food was delicious, although the execution varied. The Chicken & Dumplings came with raw carrots, which was disappointing. Additionally, the Oyster BLT appetizer had an overwhelming amount of smoke flavor, making it nearly inedible. We decided to send it back, and our server graciously removed it from our bill. However, the Breaded Shrimp appetizer and Swordfish & Shrimp entrée were absolutely fantastic! The staff here are incredibly helpful, attentive, and friendly. I would definitely return to try another dish.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling down Magazine Street and were immediately drawn in by its lovely ambiance and enticing aroma. The food was absolutely delicious—I'm practically salivating just thinking about it! We had the pleasure of sitting at a table where we could watch the chefs in action, creating their exquisite dishes right before our eyes. It was such a fun and delightful experience! Be sure to make a reservation, as it tends to get very busy. Don’t miss out on this fantastic spot!

I have tried the house salad as a side/appetizer, the Shirmp Grits for dinner, and for dessert the bread pudding comes with ice cream on top. The Shrimp Grits was so good and tasty. The dessert was served hot with ice cream on top and was delicious. They have tables upstairs with the bar. I sit downstairs where they have bar style seating and they have more tables but are outside. The waitresses and chefs were friendly and courteous. I will be coming back here to try another dish. The restaurant is very nice inside as well.

Absolutely fantastic! I have food allergies, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had safe and delicious options. The drinks were outstanding and reasonably priced! Since it was hot outside, they accommodated our large group by providing a private room. I would definitely recommend this place!
