Frey Smoked Meat Co. - New Orleans

I really love brisket and I know good brisket when I eat it. The brisket sandwich was outstanding! It literally melted in your mouth, which is what good brisket should do. There were fries on the plate as well and while they were obviously frozen, they were cooked nice and crispy and were actually pretty good. There are no tiles in the ceiling which makes the room a little bit noisy, but overall the restaurant was fine. I will definitely be back for more of that amazing brisket!

This was my first time dining at Frey. The staff at Frey was very attentive and knew the ins and outs of each and every menu item. Our server recommended the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese, which we ended up devouring. I ended up ordering a Breakfast Burger for myself and really enjoyed the special Frey burger sauce. The family ordered a pulled pork and brisket plate, and the original barbecue flavor of Frey ignited our tastebuds. For dessert, we split a Praline shake; this shake was a mile high and had an actual praline on top! Overall, this was an excellent dining experience; and I am sure my family and I will be back in the very near future.

Amazing, ignore any poor reviews of this place. Best BBQ in New Orleans hands down. I come from BBQ snobbery in Atlanta and Houston, Frey destroys my notion of flavor and has upped the level of my bar to surpass. I say at the bar and Anthony is a really great service provider and the rest of the staff has been equally as friendly. This is my first visit and plan on coming back to try the entire menu over the course of the next year. My first visit was a winning combination: Pork Belly Poppers (literally they melt in your mouth with a robust Deep South flavor), the Bacon Pepper Jack Mac n' Cheese both paired with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar which they have on tap.

The meat itself is so tender and flavorful that I got halfway through my platter (ribs and pulled pork) before I realized that I hadn’t even used the bbq sauce yet. The staff is friends and I love the decor. Especially the butcher knife door handles. I’ll DEFINITELY be back!!!

The staff is great and very attentive, the food melts in your mouth and their homemade sauces are incredible! I have not one bad opinion of this place and will return as often as I can.
