Country Flame - New Orleans

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and offers a limited selection of vegetarian options. I tried the Bohnen burrito, and it was absolutely amazing! The dish had a delightful crispness and was packed with flavor. While it is slightly on the expensive side, that's to be expected in a tourist area. I was so full that I couldn't finish my meal.

I really enjoy Mexican food and often rely on it for vegan options when I travel. However, this experience wasn't the best. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, but the portion sizes were quite small and felt overpriced. I typically order a vegan version of nachos with whatever vegetables and toppings they have available. Instead, I received just chips with black beans—that's it. Just chips and beans. I had to ask for lettuce and tomatoes, and I ended up paying extra for guacamole. I also added some of the table salsa for flavor. While it wasn’t terrible, I don't think I'll be returning.

The server was absolutely charming. I stopped by the taco stand and got two tacos for just two dollars, plus some complimentary tortilla chips with a spicy sauce. The tacos were incredibly delicious. (Check out the picture; they were vegan!)

Not many vegan options and they are not marked on the menu, but our server was really helpful and discussed everything with us. we had appetizers and main thing, all hearty, tasty and cheap.

Our server was amazing!! He was so helpful and knew exactly how to make our order right for US. Total unpretentious. Prices make sense (unlike others in the quarter). HUGE portions. We had the plantain fajita...and it was so amazing!!! What a great option for us to eat! So filling. The food is traditional, down-to-earth, filling, flavourful, and made THERE. Love this wholesome option that we found on the fly. Would definitely hit it up again!
