Ali's Grill & Bar - New Liskeard

Buffet style was great pricing was good however had my little gransdon with me and there was no highchairs available for him as all of them where reserved so he was placed at risk as had to seat him in a booster seat which was meant for older child.

If we're in New Liskeard on a Saturday night, we ALWAYS go here for the steak dinner. Excellent value and great meal. A bit of a non-descript hole-in-the-wall place inside a shopping mall, bbut who cares. Don't miss it.

I called and made a reservation for 5:00 with Ali (the owner) got there and and no reservation. Waited 15 mins to be seated. After being seated we waited 1/2 an hour to be given a menu, the another 20 mins to take order. It was not busy at all, lots of tables opened. Ordered a couples special- 2 filet mignon, shrimp, crab legs, and lobster with choice of mashed, baked or fries, salad not included for $80. Waited 1 hr for meal with no one asking if we wanted coffee, or water refills. Got our meal and our filet mignon was the thickness of a minute steak with no bacon wrapped around the steak. Asked a waitress as she walked by if this was a filet mignon she said I don't know I get the owner and kept walking. He never came to the table. Ate our meal and never seen anyone till we went to the till to pay. Told the person there we were very disappointed with the meal and he said he would get the owner. I waited 15mins for him to see me and when he did he was very rude saying what's your problem I'm busy, I told him about the steak and he said there are different types of filet mignon and he wasn't going to put a grade A steak on that special and then asked what I wanted him to do about it. I said I don't know you're the owner you tell me. He took $10 off the meal, he then asked if I was happy and I said no and we would not be returning. This is not the first time this has happened. We refuse to return there.

Ate 3 times while there for work. A nice old fashion family restaurant. Pizza Rolls were amazing. Wifi also available

Excellent service in this mall licensed restaurant. Saturday is two for one steak night. Well worth the visit. Other menu items with lots of choice.
