I guess I was expecting a more restaurant like place instead of a heavy bar scene, but should've expected that considering it was a Saturday night. Food was delicious but service was a tad slow. Nice place to try! Irish curry was delicious!
This is a great place to eat before an Isles game! The staff is incredibly friendly and acoomodating. Don't skip the espresso martini while it's on tap! They have a great variety of apps and main dishes including a phenomenal steak sandwich. We didn't have enough time to check out the dessert menu, but we'll be back for more! There's a larger parking lot in the back that's metered after 5pm.
I live in the luxury apartment across the street, first and last time placing an order at Trinity Bar Restaurant in the two years I 've lived here. Not only did the owner automatically assume I 'm an Uber driver because of how I look, the bar attendant went on to verbally abuse me for trying to get her attention when she forgot to hand me HALF my order. I 've had friends from my apartment complex recommend this place multiple times, not once have they been called a delivery boy , not once have they been humiliated.
Great authic Irish Pub in downtown New Haven. Good food drinks friendly staff dart boards Europe and American sports on the big screen TV's comfortable fun relaxed good prices.
As we stepped into Trinity Bar, an old-school, traditional Irish pub, we immediately felt at home. We settled at a high-top table in the main dining room, where our server, Tracey, took care of us. She was truly impressive, seemingly managing the entire place by herself—bartending, taking orders, delivering food to both dining rooms, clearing tables, and handling bills. Her efficiency and hard work were commendable. I opted for the Southwest Salad, which was reasonably priced at $11, while my brother went for the calamari, priced at $14. My salad was delicious and well-balanced, featuring romaine lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, black beans, shredded cheddar, tortilla crisps, pico de gallo, and a side of homemade chipotle ranch dressing. My brother's calamari was outstanding as well. I sampled a few pieces, including the squid and cherry peppers, along with the marinara sauce. Calamari can often be hit or miss—sometimes rubbery and difficult to chew, or overly greasy. However, Trinity’s calamari was fantastic. We chose to keep it simple without any drinks, and our lunch tab came to just $27. We also discovered that Tracey had another hidden talent as an excellent photographer; she took a photo of us that turned out so well I decided to crop it for my new primary profile picture on Yelp. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I can’t wait to return.
