Anastasio's Boathouse Cafe - New Haven

Incredible views! The prices are quite reasonable (for instance, the two-egg fries French toast is only $9), but we were taken aback by the cost of the lobster roll at $19.90. The service was good, but they did forget to bring us our beer—so sadly, no beer for us!

We were greeted by a beautiful view of the marina and a friendly waitress. The menu featured a variety of tempting options, from classic Italian favorites like pizza to delicious seafood. Unable to make a decision, we opted for the sampler. When we asked if it was big enough for two, our waitress assured us it was quite large—and she was right! We enjoyed every bite of the fish, scallops, shrimp, and mussels, all perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It was simply served on a plate, without any unnecessary frills. This was, without a doubt, the best roasted seafood platter we had all summer. Are we planning to return? Absolutely!

Anastasio has a delightful menu with just the right variety for everyone to find something they enjoy. The prices are reasonable, and their pizzas are absolutely delicious. I haven't had the chance to try breakfast there yet, but I'm looking forward to it. The main draw is the outdoor seating; when the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal on their deck right by the scenic Quinnipiac River. It's a beautiful setting. The staff is always friendly as well.

I love eating it on the water. that really enjoyed eating here. I will definitely go back and I recommend everyone to try this place for breakfast.

Nice little cozy place on the river. The main waitress was exceedingly friendly and gladly settled all requests. The toast, omelette and and hash browns were very nice. My only issue was that my over-easy eggs came out much more on the solid side.
