The Ship's Company Pub Galley

Went for supper with the gals and had a great time! Food was delicious and our server Annik was a pleasure. Will be back!

Had a great experience at the ships company pub and galley this afternoon the staff were very knowledgeable and attentive the fish and chips were the best I have had in quite some time over all I can see why they are voted number 1 in cavendish

I don't understand how a place like this has a decent rating on Tripadvisor, let alone the number one ranked spot in Cavendish. We ate there August 2nd and the service was miserable, the food was edible, and the atmosphere was about that of a McDonalds. The Ship's Company Pub Galley is located at the end of a very touristy feeling strip mall of sorts, and is simply a large rectangular dining room with a small bar in one corner. The dining room is filled with the cheapest sets of tables and chairs money can buy. Our table felt like it was going to collapse and I could see the staples (not nails or screws) holding it together through a large gap where peice of the table was falling off. During our visit the servers, all roughly 19 years old, were huddling around the bar chatting and certainly not re-filling our waters or updating us on the status of our meals which took 55 minute to arrive. The food was fine. Not good, not interesting, just fine. I could go on but you probably get the jist of my impression of this place by now. After consuming a meal there, famished from an hour long wait, amused by the comical lack of service and inevitably doomed to suffer some sort of gastrointestinal malady from all this, I am left with one question...How is this place getting so many good reviews?... If you end up eating at this place and have a similar experience to mine, or you simply don't think this is the best restaurant in Cavendish as this TripAdvisor page would have you believe, PLEASE REVIEW IT, so that more people aren't fooled like us into wasting an evening and their hard earned money, at this boring, slow, loud, rectangle that sells food

Amazing food and service!! Was the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. And there was even food items that my kiddos loved ?? Will be back again for sure and highly recommend to anyone

Accomodated us when they were overbooked after a long days travel. Excellent staff and great food! Much appreciated!
