The Smithy - New Galloway

I was delighted to discover this restaurant during my bike ride and stopped in for lunch. The outdoor seating area was lovely, allowing me to keep an eye on my bike. The food was tasty, filling, and arrived promptly. I particularly enjoyed the variety of garnish salads that came with my sandwich!

The staff is wonderful and the food is delicious. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area.

The cream tea was fantastic. The lemonade scones were light and fluffy, and the presentation was lovely. The outdoor seating area next to the river was beautiful, with pretty baskets of flowers and jars of marmalade to catch any pesky wasps. The coffee was deliciously smooth. The restaurant had excellent hygiene and social distancing measures in place, even cleaning the backs of chairs and umbrella poles. They asked for phone numbers for tracing purposes and everyone wore masks. Definitely worth a visit.

What a beautiful place really enjoy them my lunch and their raiders road cake was delicious personal so friendly will definitely be bk on 18th juli for my birthday lunch xx
