Coach House Cafe - New Cumnock

I absolutely loved dining at the Coach House! This charming restaurant is part of a historic castle that's starting to show signs of age, and they offer traditional pub fare. As is common in pubs, you check the menu, remember your table number, and place your order at the bar. I went for the bangers and mash, while my companion chose the fish and chips. We ordered Pepsi, which tasted surprisingly good there. Our food arrived quickly; the bangers and mash came with a generous serving of rich, dark brown gravy that was simply delicious. The mashed potatoes were fresh—just potatoes mashed with nothing else added—and came with peas. Seriously, everything comes with peas! The interior is adorned with brick and dark wood, creating a cozy and classic atmosphere.
