Gatsby - New Cumberland

For the first time landing for mountaineers, suggestion to eat in Gatsby and get the Phillie. Let me first say that the Hostess/Supervisor was over rude, her name is Sam. She looked at us several times and ignored us for seating when we came to the table, we told our waitress that we knew what we wanted and ordered drinks and our entrées. After 35 minutes wait, and with all the offers for refilling for drinks our sub-parts came out. You were the most sad I ever ordered. It was more veg and cheese than meat. There were slightly less than 3 ounces of meat on the lower part and the bungalows were cold and wet and not juicy wet in a good way, but wet as soggy coarse.

The food is the best on the weekends and goes down hill Monday and Tuesday?s. Food has always been great and service is always great considering they are understaffed

This restaurant is located inside of the Mountainer Casino in West Virginia. There is plenty of seating available ?! I ordered the fried zucchini strips topped with fresh parmaschon grated directly on top of the zucchini strips! They also provided a large amount of dipping sauce for you! OMG, they arrived hot ?, and were out of this world delicious! My friend ordered the onion soup ?. It was loaded with cheese covering the entire bowl! It was loaded with fresh Vidalia sweet onions and fresh croutons to absorb the tasty broth. It was absolutely ? delicious! I definitely would suggest eating here during your stay at the Casino ?!! We didn't have to wait in a long line before being seated. We ordered and received our food quickly and hot! The buffet is still closed; however, the menu selections were awesome ?! The prices are very reasonable for the amount of great food that you get! This restaurant was extremely clean and not crowded for brunch time. You will not be disappointed with eating here!!

Service was good. Our waitress was very kind and prompt. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The quality of food was low. Fries were not good. The fish and chips was just one large deep battered cod filet that ended up tasting quite fishy. The Philly sandwich was bland. Overall not a delicious meal. We were disappointed in the food but must say the Service was prompt and the employees were kind.

Buffet is closed they said indefinitely, which wasn't good when it was open. We ate at Gatsby restaurant and it was awful. I had the club sandwich and french fries. Bread wasn't toasted enough so it was soggy and gummy. The french fries were cold and tasted like they were old maybe from lunch time and served to me and others dining with me for dinner. Chicken salad had chicken that was way over cooked and was barely editable. Alaskan baked cod had 5 lbs melted butter dumped on top. Do yourself a favor and eat before you go to gamble.
