Gates Restaurant Bar - New Canaan

We usually enjoy gates and typically get salads or sandwiches. Their wings are also good and the last time we went to BOGO burger nights it was great. Last night however, we ordered our burgers medium and the cane out well done and very dry. Maybe it was just a bad night? We'll give them another chance.

Fantastic find. Was just the 2 of us for dinner, but also Very Family friendly. Yet the wood absorbed any noise.. Portions were generous to the point my wife and I split the Prime Rib. The Cosmos were best I've had at a restaurant.... Everything was top notch! A WINNER!

Nothing special. Mediocre food and drinks. Service was terrible. They brought out our entrees before our appetizer. We wanted to enjoy our appetizer before our entrees. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you first bring out the appetizers, then the entrees.

It’s 7PM.Ordered appetizer. Asked for it be brought out BEFORE entree’s. Ya know. Appetizer.Mediocre wings came out 1.5 minutes before entree. 4/6 wings were actually sauced.Okay. But how’s desert?Ordered key lime pie. Menu says nothing about nuts on the key lime pie. Guess what? Key lime is covered in almonds. Wife has an allergy. Have to send it back.This place needs help. Service was 5/10. Food was 6/10 and overall experience was 3/10.Go elsewhere. I posted photos. Decide for yourself.Fix your restaurant. Customers deserve it.

Just okay. First time eating here, on a weekday night. Food was very average. I ordered a crispy chicken bowl. The chicken was tasteless and a bit greasy. The rice was barely warm. The veggies were okay. Nothing special. My companion had a burger. She said it was pretty greasy, and overloaded with sauce. I guess another patron may enjoy that though. The table was so sticky the menus were sticking to. I didn't put my phone on the table because it was so sticky. My companion had to return her first beverage because the glass was very dirty. Something was stuck on it. Our server was very friendly and professional. I don't think we'll be back.
