This was a weekend outing to 'Little Poland ', New Britain. Polmart was 1 of handful of ethnic grocery hunting in search of a Ukranian style Borscht. We didn 't find our reward here or at the others visited. It was a great visit to Polmart, but alas, we got 'beet '.
Not bad. Tiny cramped store but lots of good Polish selections. Staff and most of the customers were friendly and helpful but there's always a few rude dogs who just push you out of the way...
A well stocked, and cute little shop which I will never stop coming to. If you want the best breads, healthy and fresh, or fresh meats and cheeses, or even just fresh and tasty Polish food, look no further! The lovely staff keep the store clean and friendly. You can even do your mail and Polish gift shopping! My only complaint Is that I want more Polish music playing! XD
It's a small store with multiple sections of various categories of items. There's a section with bread and fresh veggies and fruit. Another section has nonperishable foods. There's a fish and meat. Magazines too. They also have a tiny post office where you can do basic things like send packages and mailed or buy stamps. It's pretty convenient. It's unconventional but nice.
