I felt a lil uncomfortable case of all the looks I got so I decided to wait for my order out in my car. The waitress asked for my number so she can call me when my order was ready, which was pretty convenient . The food was good I just wish my steak had a lil more flavor or seasoning or salt at the least. It was under seasoned IF it we’re seasoned at all.
A group that should've been behind us came in ahead of us and threw their weight around to take our table, BUT the restaurant made it right and we got our food first. If you can't follow the rules and wait your turn, then don't go out in public, people. They had a kid with them that wouldn't stop screaming, and they weren't even trying hard to console him...probably a direct reflection of the parents. The service was EXCELLENT. Breakfast was great. Aside from the rude group, it was a wonderful experience.Kid-friendliness: They have highchairs.
There was something in the kitchen or air conditioning that was making a very loud vibrating noise you could feel in your body and we had to yell to be heard over, and we were on the opposite side of the dining room from it. The kitchen was super slow, 35 minutes for two egg sausage and pancake plates, and it wasn't abnormally busy, no wait to be seated, plenty of staff. The food was very mediocre. The sausage was blatantly microwaved, still cold in the middle and with fake grill marks. Eggs weren't cooked as ordered. Pancake was fine I guess, but we paid $14 a plate for school cafeteria quality food.I will not eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone else.
Five stars for prompt service. Never a wait. Good breakfast. Very friendly. The atmosphere has a dinerish feel. Tasty, comfy and quick.
The fried shrimp were very small and carried more breading than shrimp. Tartar sauce was gross. The bacon cheese burger looked great but only came with a skimpy single slice of cheese. My salad came with croutons that appeared to be the bottom of the bag because there was more crumbs than actually croutons. ?Our waitress didn't introduce herself and never asked if we wanted a refill of our drinks and wasn't present during the delivery or after to check if we needed anything. I had to request a refill from another waitress. I'd stick with the breakfast menu if we ever choose to dine at Avery's again.
