Triple Play Oasis - New Bern

What a fantastic little place! The staff is friendly, the drinks are affordable, and the food is surprisingly good.

I’m giving this restaurant two stars because the initial service was friendly. However, my experience took a downturn when they started lamenting about their situation. It seems they decided to close three hours early without notifying travelers, which is frustrating for those with long layovers looking for food, drinks, or just a place to relax. This small airport restaurant seems to prioritize their own feelings over the needs of customers. Overall, I was quite disappointed, and I found the laughter from the staff afterwards to be quite disrespectful. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Triple Play Oasis at New Bern Airport. It's too bad, as the downtown area of New Bern has its charm, but the hospitality at the airport leaves much to be desired.

The overstuffed pulled pork sandwich exceeded my expectations, along with the french fries and coleslaw. The food was fresh and expertly prepared. Although the portion of coleslaw was a bit small, it paired nicely with the BBQ, which had a sweet flavor during my visit.

Supposed to be open Sunday 7 AM to 6 PM. Got here at 4PM. Worker inside cleaning but the door was locked. Only restaurant in the terminal. I guess we go hungry today. Plane lands at 11:30 PM. Hope they have lots of pretzels on the flight.
