Blackbeard's Triple Play Restaurant Bar

What a fascinating bar and restaurant! The atmosphere has a unique pirate theme, and I especially loved the aquarium at the bar. The service was excellent, and the place was clean. However, the kitchen could improve its food storage. My guest and I wanted to order a chicken dinner, but unfortunately, they were out of chicken. The food we did order arrived promptly, although the portion of cod in the fish and chips was surprisingly small. Nonetheless, everything was delicious, and I really enjoyed my sandwich and salad. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us regularly.

The woman brought to New Bern for a night from Cary, just to get away. The food and the atmosphere is beautiful?? Live music was on top. will definitely be back. Food: 5/5

Where to start, we were there for four hours and no issues. My wife and her friend were having a blast. We went to go see the bear drop for new years. When we returned my wife 's friend went in before us. She came back out to see where we were and when she tried to come back in the English **** said that because she was Mexican she couldn 't come back in. The security acts so tuff and think they are cops and wouldn 't let us walk on the publicly owned sidewalk. They claim the own everything in front of the establishment when I asked an officer he said they only own from the archway in, big shocker. I know 5 dozen people that pay patronage to this place but until that racist English cuck loses his job I will convince all of them to not spend their money here. The manager didn 't even ask why I was cursing this dude out. And security doesn 't believe in de-escelation. As prior law enforcement I wouldn 't be surprised if people were getting in fights or hurt here on a regular basis. Do not come here.

Had lunch on a weekday during a stay in New Bern. All of the entrees came out as ordered. Our server did a great job. Pub food is the norm as it does have a pub/bar atmosphere. My wife had one of the the Salads( it was huge and I had the Chicken Jam sandwich( bacon jam! Yummy! . I heard also from my companions that that the burgers and flatbreads right down to the kids grilled cheese were tasty as well.

On the downside, parking can be a bit tricky, and there are some warnings about potential issues with thieves, though there's ample space if you're willing to look for it. I understand that the venue can't control the parking situation in New Bern. What could they improve? Perhaps the music selection at times, as the crowd tends to include both younger folks in their 20s and more mature patrons. Also, some of the drinks could be a bit stronger. I don’t mean to imply I want a shot of tequila with a splash of juice, but I think you get my point. I realize there are costs involved, and this is ultimately a bar, but there’s room for improvement. My friend and I come here every month, so we’re looking forward to our next visit!
