The Whale’s Tail - New Bedford

This is a fantastic seafood shack, offering one of the best butter lobster rolls in Massachusetts. The scallop basket was also excellent. They have a great selection of drinks. The location next to the fishing boats adds to its charm. I really love the atmosphere!

My husband and I ordered two seafood platters, and I regret not taking a picture before we dug in—our hunger got the best of us! Each platter included five small fried clams, five scallops, a sizable piece of fish, fries, and a whopping 20 fried shrimp, which really filled the box. I decided to try this place since Kool Kone in Wareham was closed today. If you're looking for a delicious seafood platter that’s both cheaper and tastier, I highly recommend heading to Kool Kone instead!

The restaurant is situated in a fantastic location with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly. I ordered the lobster roll, and it was excellent!
