Cattleman's Roadhouse - New Albany

After waiting 50 minutes for our food to arrive, we finally got our meals. The steaks were thin but well-cooked, although I had asked for mine to be medium-rare and it came out well-done. The hamburger steak wasn't bad, and the loaded baked potato was delicious. However, the steak sandwich was disappointing compared to what was advertised. They were also out of the dish we wanted, so we didn't get to try that. Overall, I don't think we'll be returning to this restaurant.

I went to this restaurant for the first time and it definitely won't be my last. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the customer service was exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant had a traditional steakhouse feel and everything at the bar was fresh and delicious. We ordered ribeye steaks which were cooked perfectly and the fried pickles were amazing. The whole meal was delicious and the chocolate layer moose cake was decadent. The lava cakes were the perfect way to end a perfect dinner. If you haven't been here yet, you must try it out.

We were seated promptly, but the waitress forgot to take our orders. She also forgot to bring our appetizers and drinks. However, our main dishes arrived quickly and our drinks were refilled promptly. The waitress apologized for the earlier mistakes and was pleasant. The food was satisfactory, but not outstanding.

When they go to their website, they are the best steaks and second to none in tenderness and taste. that is the claim and this affirmation is very wrong. I am sure they use high quality steaks, and my steak (ordered medium rare) was properly prepared, and the steak of my wife was also properly cooked. that means I can't be exaggerated enough if you're not seasonal enough. it tasted like the simplest ribeye I've ever eaten. in any case under seasoned. simply laying a light salt layer over the steak helped a bit, but not enough to save the steak. now it's out of the way. the sides, salatable and all the other foods were very good. the waiting staff was very friendly. my wife and I have never been before, we tend to go either to outback or texas roadhouse for steak. we could return to the future, but it will not be for steak. I love to support smaller local restaurants so I don't try it. but it is hard to recommend if the steak is only so bad.3/5

My wife and daughter went out of town, so my 11-year-old son and I had a special boys only' weekend. We decided to go to Cattleman's in New Albany. I love the salad bar, so that's all I ordered. My son had a kids meal. The food was good, but the service was HORRIBLE. Apparently since we weren't ordering an expensive meal, our waitress didn't think we were worth her time. She never brought us rolls until we asked, it was impossible to get refills on drinks. and all of our plates/cups were stacked on the table. Sjhe never even checked if we needed anything. Just because we don't order steaks and have a $100 bill, doesn't mean we shouldn't get quality service. Some may say the staff was short handed, but that wasn't the case. We saw our waitress just aimlessly walking around and checking on her other tables, but not us. I LOVE Cattleman's, but after this experience, I may never return.
