Ol' Republic Roadhouse - Nevada City

Rustic comfortable location nestled amongst the trees with tasty food choices along with a large selection of delicious Ol' Republic brews, wine, and a full bar.

The servers where peasant and timely. The food was lacking, my husband ordered the fried chicken. He was served two small pieces of overly breaded chicken. I've never seen him leave the breeding behind, but it was a huge pile as large as the little piece of chicken that it had covered. I ordered the chili add bread. It was a small bowl of chili, with a slice of perfectly grilled bread. My complaint was that although the flavor was good, there was a moat of grease floating at the top of the chili, and sadly I suffered from a belly ache all night. The prices proceed the quality of the meals. The beer was superb... I'd say, if you are going to expand to a full restaurant as you are attempting, lower your prices and exceed peoples expectations... Grow organically from there. Not really a road house. Very limited. Catering less to locals and more to out of towners. Price high for what you get. Small portions. Good drinks, nice atmosphere, slow service. Need less fancy menu more comfort food More steak selection

We are very pleased that this venue is successful. previous owners had developed a call for long waits for eating. they have made a great task to give the restaurant a new look and live. we would like to have more dinner entree selections, but know they have one in the grunde pub menu. Eating service was good, eating delicious, sat at tables in the back and it was quiet enough for talks. prices were higher than in comparison to some restaurants we visited in the opposite but not inappropriate. we look forward to warm summer evenings in their terrace.

I took my wife to dinner and we had reservations for the dinning room, but we changed our mind and we wanted to sit on the bar and they took us perfectly. the service for eating and customers was top notch! I will recommend o’l republic roadhouse to everyone. it was also nice to meet simon and we wish him the best at all his o’l republic ventures. phil rebekah
