Apfelwein-föhl - Neu-Isenburg

Our group of 20 or so football fans from leverkusen rose on this site a Sunday afternoon before our away BuLi game against the home team later in the evening. we have been warmly welcomed and installed in one of the separate private rooms outside the...inner courtyard. we had more or less the place for us. Of course, first was the extensive drink order we were, after all thirst. Many of us went for the famous apple wine to a cloudy, still apple wine. some have ordered it in big crugs. for lunchtime I went for the crispy duck, the red cabbage and the dumplings. it was delicious! I have also taken the chance to wash it with a beautiful, large glass benedictiner Bavarian bright beer. service was all very well organized in view of such a big unruly but nevertheless good behavior group. when we left the time, it was back on the bus when we drove a few km away for the German bank stadion.

This was right around the corner of our Airbnb and it had good reviews so we thought we’d give it a shot. We were not disappointed! Great service, phenomenal food and lovely atmosphere. Of course we had the apfelwein... let me tell you it goes...straight to your head but it’s GOOD! Trying to pronounce things in German goes a long way too.

A meal to die for! Had the Hunter Schnitzel and it was excellent. Salad came to start and dinner followed quickly. Apple strudel delicious! Would highly recommend, we arrived shortly after opening so were able to get a table. Definitely popular with the locals!
