168 Sushi Japan Buffet - Nepean

We went with my daughter and her family. The idea of ordering food is creative as you get to try different things. Place is comfortable suitable for families and groups The service was never consistent, we kept asking for things and remind them to bring them.Some of the order never arrived till my son checked with waiter.Servers need to be trained which food to arrive first.First batch of food was cold and we asked to have it heated.Finally, no one mentioned there was senior price.I spotted it in menu accidentally.Will not be back unless it improves.

My husband and I has not gone to this place for a few years and were in the neighbourhood shopping and decided to grab lunch. What a mistake! it has gone so downhill. The service was terrible. We kept having to re-ask for items we ordered and had to wait quite a while, for one order we finally gave up! And the food is awful! I looked at the pictures to see what I would like to try and saw a picture of a variety of mixed vegetables and decided to order this along with our other items (trying to add a few healthy things in the mix)! I got a plate of bean spouts that was floating in grease! And our other dishes were also very greasy - beyond what you can stomach. The sushi and sashimi while not greasy just did not taste fresh. I do not eat McDonalds but I have to say that McDonalds would have been way better than this place at half the price -the price is not worth it, and the food is terrible so you do not want to spend any amount of hard earned cash here. To top it all off, we decided to give some feedback to the Manager and he literally said to us "I do not care what you think." There are some great places for all you can eat sushi in Ottawa that are very good, but this place is not one of them. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

We have been here previously, the food is generally good and today (even on Mother's Day) they were quick; however, it really costs nothing for a server to smile - furthermore, communication skills seem limited. We had only one server who actually spoke to us and that was because my husband had ordered 18 pieces of sushi (she was quite pleasant and well spoken) but all other servers simply drop food and go. At one point we asked for forks (party of 4) and received 1 fork. Our daughter asked for ice cream and the server didn't bring it, we had to ask another. Bottom line: food is good but if you're looking for friendly/pleasant service, you're likely at the wrong place.

This meal was great and I liked how it sometimes taste spicy and sweet and the desserts were so yummy.If I am in Ottawa again then I will be there.
