Moorcock Inn - Nelson

I stumbled upon this place while looking for another restaurant to take home. It's a truly traditional country pub with friendly staff and delicious food. The fish cakes were exceptional, and the sticky toffee pudding was wonderful.

I've been visiting this place for years and have watched Jamie grow up since he was young. It’s a family-run pub and restaurant that offers a variety of homemade dishes at great prices. They also host a few musical events each month, which we regularly attend. With delicious food, drinks, and excellent service, what more could you ask for?

I've been eager to try the Moorcock Inn for a while after hearing great things, and I wasn't disappointed. I started with cherry garlic mushrooms and had an authentic wine stew with new potatoes for my main course, which is quite different from typical pub fare. The menu featured a wide variety of options, along with a specials board, and there was a great selection of desserts and drinks as well. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and attentive; he even shared stories about his recent trip to Germany that influenced some of the dishes on the menu. The inn hosts an unplugged evening on the first Wednesday of every month, among other events. I will definitely be returning!

We called the opportunity, which had a wonderful surprise we had 4 appetizers and 4 meal times and really enjoyed them themselves and my friend had an Irish coffee and it was the real thing...proper quirky small place. the host were great defo back
