Amaravathi Highway Family Restaurant

I have traveled from Chennai to Vijayawada several times over the past two years by car. On the journey from Chennai to Vijayawada, I have found that this is the best restaurant on the left side of the highway. The parking facilities are excellent and the restrooms are very clean. The food is also delicious, making it a great place to take a break. They offer tasty snacks and even sell pickle bottles. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant and it is a great place to stop. However, there are two issues that need to be addressed. The approach road to the restaurant from the highway is uneven and in poor condition. Recently, when I visited in September, I noticed that the road had been covered with black tar powder, making it easier to drive on. I am unsure of how it will hold up after rain. Additionally, the restaurant can be easy to miss while driving fast on the highway. There are signs indicating the distance to Amaravathi Restaurant, but none that alert you to its proximity as you approach. It would be helpful to have a sign a few meters ahead. Despite these issues, the restaurant is overall quite good.

The best food in the surrounding area, not too expensive. Ideal for a family visit.

The restaurant lacks air conditioning and the food was a very unpleasant experience. There were also many houseflies present, making it feel like a roadside restaurant. I would advise against visiting this place and suggest looking for another option for a better dining experience.

They serve both veg and non veg food here. Price is little on the higger side but there are no other places on the highway This place has good parking, clean toilets, icecream shop etc. idle for people travelling chennai to vijayawada/nellore
