Ballei Restaurant Neckarsulm

I went to visit this restaurant with my wife and in-laws after a recommendation. Although the restaurant might be a bit hard to find due to small name on the front, the interior looks actually very nice. A lot of windows and nice plants decorating the dining area. The tables, floors and furniture were well cleaned, the chairs comfortable. The menu is not big, which is a good thing, and offers local, seasonal dishes. As a starter we had a tomato soup, with cream and almonds.It tasted very fresh, and had small cherry-tomatoes as garnish.As a main-course I had a vegetarian dish with mushrooms and "knödel" (a regional potato dish. My wife had a steak with baked potatoes, mushrooms and a small salad. The in-laws had a pork-medaillion with spätzle.All dishes were very tasty. Plates were of a normal size: enough to satisfy and not massively overfilled.High compliments to the chef!! Also the wine list with local wines only was very nice.One thing that I have to comment on is the coffee: it was a bit weak... even the espresso did not give a kick... something to improve on the next time.The service was perfect. The owner served us and really tried his best to make us feel welcome and to make sure we were happy.We can recommend this restaurant whenever you are in the Neckarsulm area.

We already know the new owner from the Komturei in Gundelsheim but were always only industries there. So we thought we'd try dinner and it was worth it as expected : I ordered pork ends with homemade latency and mushroom sauce, and there was also a salad. It was all fresh and self-made. The salad was very big considering what else you get as a supplement salad. The dressing was the upper hammer, as with Omi earlier, with a shot of cream and perfectly seasoned : The loin was tender, the late zle was definitely made itself and the mushrooms as fresh from the forest. My friend ordered a rag steak with herbal butter of roast potatoes, also here gave a salad. A dump steak with salad for €21.80 is absolutely fair! To the salad I still have to say that it was not just a normal supplement salad, it was really a colorful plate with green salad, cucumber salad, carrot salad, herb salad, tomatoes and potato salad. So really a big and colorful plate. We'll be back in case. For the service I gave only 3 points because this was simply too little present. They always came to the plate for a short time and more one has not seen or heard of the service.
