Christians Restaurant - Neckargemünd

Up market 'Trendy' restaurant with fabulous view of the river Necke. I went with friends and relatives in a group of five. It was to celebrate a birthday, just as well because the prices were rather high. It's not the sort of place I could visit regularly. The food, presentation and staff were all excellent but if you don't like too much salt in your food, beware. I had steak which was very salty and the potatoes were even more so. It was still enjoyable though. Just be sure to taste before adding any more salt, as I know some diners add salt out of habit. We visited several other restaurants in the area and all the meals had more salt than I am used to, so perhaps it's a German trait. Although my party were in the sixties to seventies bracket, most of the other diners were 'trendy' twenty to thirties bracket. However, overall it was a very pleasant dining experience and the views are marvellous. One will need deep pockets though because our bill for five guests was €340. And we only had one bottle of wine and a couple of beers.

Im Rahmen eines Kongresses waren wir zur Abendgestaltung in Christians Restaurant und obwohl unsere Gruppe das ganze Lokal beanspruchte hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Das Service war erstklassig, das Essen wunderbar und die Atmosphäre direkt am Neckar wirklich sehr, sehr schön!

Kellnerin kraulte Hund eines Gastes- danach Besteck einsortiert, Brotgeschnitten - also ohne Hände zu waschen !!!!!Schock für Allergiker !!

Sehr lecker, sehr freundliches Personal und es wurde auf alle Sonderwünsche (glutenfrei) eingegangen. Wir kommen wieder!

Good place along the Neckar River amd close to Heidelberg. Good food, good wine. A nice restaurant, one of the best in this area.
