I am a regular at this location and have tasted some of the best Irral-Pav and vada pav here. The flavors are absolutely amazing, top-notch, and consistently delicious. If you are a fan of authentic Maharashtrian dishes, you must try the food here. While the restaurant may be simple and not offer fancy ambiance, the food speaks for itself. If ambiance is not a priority for you, you can always get your food to go. But trust me, you do not want to miss out on this gem of a restaurant!
If you're a fan of spicy Puneri misal, head to this place. It's not the Udipi style or Gujarati farsan nonsense, they have their own homemade masala and gravy. The shew chiwda is also made on site. Initially, there weren't many people eating here, but now it's packed on Sundays, with a 15-20 minute wait for a seat. The simple surroundings with plastic chairs don't matter when the food is so good. The misal, vada, and special chai are a must-try, as is the Puneri bhel. I've brought friends here and now we're all regulars, enjoying the local flavors with quality ingredients. The restaurant is located in L market at Nerul sector 10. There's a copycat with a similar name outside, but the owners have confirmed they're not connected.
A frequent visitor to this place. One of the best misal pav and vada pav I have ever tasted. The taste is fantastic, superlative and more importantly, very consistent. Must eat here if you relish authentic Maharashtrian dishes. Of course, a very simple joint, not the place if you are looking for good ambience. If not, you could just take parcel. But don't miss this one !!
If you are a fan of Rural Puneri Misal (Spicy) - head to this place. It's not the udipi style misal - which uses peas and gujrati farsan ( Utter Nonsense!!). They have their own home made masala, gravy, rassa & the Shev Chivda is also made there and there itself. When it started, I could see hardly 2-3 people eating there. But now, as the word spread about the taste - on Sundays, one has to wait for 15-20 minutes before getting a place to sit. Mind you, it's not at all a fancy joint - a simple down to earth place with plastic tables and chairs - but the food compensates for all.Must Try - Misal, Vada & Special Chai afterwards. The special puneri Bhel is also worth the try.I have taken few of my friends with me - and now everybody has become regular - thanks to the homely taste with good quality ingredients. The place is IN the L market at Nerul Sector - 10. And yes, there is a copycat outside on the road - with almost the same name - but I have been informed by the owners - that they don't have any branches!!! so beware.
